About Our Guest:

Dating back to the 1800s, this storied residence and the surrounding farm offer an enchanting setting for hosting a variety of outdoor events, from weddings to family reunions. Nestled on more than 20 secluded acres, the property commands a breathtaking view of the Mississippi River, with the added charm of historic Mormon Springs, a natural mineral spring.

Today, the stewardship of this historic treasure belongs to Rebecca Williamson, the granddaughter of Relly and Lois. Her dedication lies in the preservation of the house and the sharing of its rich history with the public. The house itself, with its three bedrooms, one full bathroom, one half bathroom, and modern kitchen facilities, provides a comfortable haven for visitors. An expansive open space in front of the house, complete with a patio, offers a welcoming gathering point, while another open area behind the house, enveloped by trees and offering glimpses of the Mississippi River, adds to the venue's allure. A generous 20 by 40-foot outdoor patio overlooks a forest ravine, creating a beautiful and serene space for relaxation, conversation, and dancing.

Positioned midway between Nauvoo and Niota in Illinois, along the picturesque Mississippi River, this rustic retreat promises the perfect backdrop for tranquil and memorable events.
