The current owners of the 1812 Hitching Post Farm are the Waldrons. Patrick Waldron, an internationally recognized designer and artist with a keen interest in history, has owned the property since 1983. Wendy, who joined Patrick in 1999, is a photographer and event coordinator. Alongside her passion for genealogy, web, and graphics design, Wendy brings a background as a former registered nurse. Both Pat and Wendy share a romantic disposition, reflected in their meticulous decoration of the 1812 Hitching Post with cherished treasures. In their quest for a wedding venue, the Waldrons experienced the challenges of planning an intimate, stylish, and romantic wedding without breaking the bank. This journey inspired them to establish The 1812 Hitching Post, offering brides today the opportunity to enjoy the elegance and warmth of a wedding in a nostalgic setting from the past.
